Defence Analyst



Our client is one of the UK's leading Aerospace and Defence companies and are currently looking to recruit an Analyst to join their team.



The purpose of the Analyst's position is to objectively research and understand their position in their chosen market segments, support the process of winning new business with hard facts, inform the process of new market development with relevant detail and to support the business development managers and bid teams in the creation of messages that clarify their objectives, communicate their strengths and dilute those of their competitors



Key responsibilities



•Monitor our existing market segments analyse the successes and failures of the existing contracts (their own and others)

•Understand the market trends to help identify the new opportunities

•Inform the annual strategic review process (IBP) with fact

•Manage and maintain a central database of intelligence upon which their business can draw

•Identify, qualify and develop the argument for potential acquisitions

•Own initiative to proactively gather and assess the data necessary to inform their decision making

•Objectivity in the analysis of strengths and weaknesses

•The ability to unearth from a wide variety of sources relevant data, qualify, interpret and communicate it for the companies benefit

•Identify and focus new market development opportunities with the application of factual data

•Identify critical bid messages so that they are relevant, positive and persuasive

•Add informed and constructive objectivity to all “win business” activities so that their resources are applied effectively and our win rate increases
